Volunteering with OHSTC - Labor Day Raffle Grand Prize includes 1/2 off 2013 Membership!
In order to keep costs down and provide activities for the club members, OHSTC encourages volunteer service in any of the following areas.
How it Works:
To qualify for a raffle(s), a family volunteers for 4 hours in a capacity for the Club. The member volunteering must be at least 16 yrs old or accompanied by an adult.
Family members’ hours will be pooled together (all listed under same 5-digit Member ID) .
Volunteer in at least one of the following areas:
Facilities Maintenance –seasonal cleanup: rake leaves, trim bushes, plant flowers, weed flower beds, paint, cleaning buildings, etc. (Contact maintenance@orangehuntswimclub.org for details).
Flyer Drop or Signs—drop OHSTC flyers in doors around the neighborhoods or place OHSTC signs in yard. (Contact membership@orangehuntswimclub.org for details)
Social Events – Assist at any of the events Social hosts throughout the season. For example, serving, setting up, cleaning up, or chaperoning. (Contact social@orangehuntswimclub.org for details)
Concessions—Help run the Shark Shack. (Contact concessions@orangehuntswimclub.org for details)
Do you have a talent you would like to share? Let us know! For example, story time, arts & crafts, music and songs, or dances. (Contact secretary@orangehuntswimclub.org for details)
Members Receive:
Family Name entered in monthly drawing for prizes (prizes will vary).
Drawings held on the following days (member does not need to be present to win but it would be nice!):
May 31 (for volunteers during off season up through May 31)
June 30 (for volunteers during June)
July 31 (for volunteers during July)
Last day Pool is Open (for volunteers in August and through Closing in September)
Name entered only during the month of volunteering
Each additional volunteering in 4-hour increments will enter your name again (i.e. volunteer for 8 hours and get your name entered twice!)
All names entered in the monthly drawings will be entered in the end of the year drawing for the chance to win a ½-off membership for next year.
Drawing will be held at the end of the End of Season General Membership meeting.
For example, if your family has volunteered 40 hours throughout the season, their name will be entered 10 times in the drawing.
Note: Board Members are not eligible for raffle incentive.
