Individual All Stars Meet: The top 18 swimmers in the NVSL in each event swum at divisionals across the league will compete in this meet. This year it will be July 30, 2022, at Orange Hunt.

This is an Open House for Swimmers, Coaches and Team Reps to become familiar with the site configuration. No swimmers will be allowed in the pool.

Thank you for respecting the rules and being kind to those running the events. All are volunteers.

Team orders of All-Star merchandise will be available for payment and pick-up. All-Star T-shirts, Swim Caps, and meet programs will be available for purchase by individuals.

Celebrate a wonderful season!

Teens (ages 13 and up) will meet at the Logan’s for dinner at 6pm.

All other swimmers will meet at the pool for pizza at 6pm.

Awards and slide show will start at 7pm with the goal of being in the water for an evening swim by 8:30pm.

Divisional Championship Meet: July 23, 2022 @ Cardinal Hill

This is a big, exciting meet and there will be many volunteer opportunities regardless of whether your child is swimming.

Swimmers qualify to participate in this meet based on best times. Coaches will notify selected swimmers at practice of the events they qualify to swim. An e-mail from the team reps is also sent to the parents notifying everyone of who will be participating, the time to meet, and any important event details.

July 18, 2022: IM Meet, Orange Hunt @ South Run

The Individual Medley (IM) meet is open to all swimmers that can legally swim all 4 strokes.  In the IM the swimmer covers the four swimming styles in the following order: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle as part of one race. The IM meet is hosted by South Run on the evening of July 18, 2022.

“Cheers” at the Pool for kids and parents!

Swimmers will have a fun time making signs, painting nails, and cheering!

While the kids have fun, parents, our pool sponsor, Diane from WineShopatHome will be there to pour for donations so you can “cheers” too! And if that’s not your thing, just come enjoy other parent’s company!

June 13, 2022: B-Meet #1, South Run @ Orange Hunt (alternate meet for Monday, July 4th)

Monday Developmental Meets are referred to as “B meets.” These fun events start at 6:30 pm and are usually over around 9:00 pm. These meets are open to all members of the team. “Show time” is 5:15 pm at the host pool.

Pool closes at 4pm.

Time trials is the first event where the entire team is together.  It's a great day for developing team spirit.  This event is when the kids realize they are part of a team.

Time trials allow each swimmer to establish their base time for the season.  It's also an opportunity for us, volunteers, to have a "dry run" before the first meet.  Each swimmer will be afforded the opportunity to swim every stroke (free, back, breast and butterfly) they can swim legally or have a reasonable chance of swimming legally.  The coaches will enter the swimmers in the events that they know they can swim. Many of the 8 & unders and new swimmers do not have legal breast and butterfly strokes yet and will not be entered in these events for Time Trials.

The meet will start with freestyle.  Starting with the 6 & unders, every swimmer will swim the freestyle.  Next everyone will do back stroke.  Followed by breast and fly.  Once your swimmer has completed all their events they are free to leave. 

Please have your swimmer attend if at all possible - even if they are only swimming 1 stroke.  It's a "dry run" for the kids to learn how a swim meet works.

While swim team is a team sport, the kids are really competing against their personal best time in each stroke.  If your child beats their personal best time regardless of where they place in the race then that swim has been a huge success.  For developing swimmers this is an important lesson.

Get excited for our first Orange Hunt pep rally of the season at the pool on Friday night (6/10) from 6:00pm - 7:00pm! Time to break out your togas because this Olympic themed event will feature two competitions between swimmers. First, it’s boys vs. girls in a relay race to see who can eat through some sour lemons the fastest. Next, pair up with a friend in your age group for an egg toss that gets progressively more challenging until only one pair remains! This will also be a great time to get to know your new coaches!

We want to make coming to evening practice easy and enjoyable for your family!
