Swim-a-Thon

Orange Hunt Pool will be hosting our fifth annual Swim-A-Thon on July 21st. We are excited to raise funds for Viridiane’s Hope for Children’s Health and Education that will go towards building water wells and supporting education initiatives in Cameroon. 

In 2025, we raised about $17,000 and were able to fund an entire well powered by solar energy to provide drinking water to 1,500 inhabitants of the village of Mbeme in the southwest anglophone region of Cameroon!

We will have MANY opportunities for pool members to volunteer and support the efforts of this great event that challenges swimmers to set and achieve goals while raising awareness and funds for a great cause.

This summer we’ll continue to expand our efforts to include youth in the planning, delivery, and follow-up of the Swim-A-Thon. We’re inviting any interested rising Middle School and High School Students from Orange Hunt Pool to join our Youth Advisory Council for the 
Swim-A-Thon. This will be a great chance to learn how nonprofits organize events, earn service learning/volunteer hours, be part of the action, and have a lot of fun.
